12.5 is the latest version and this page should be updated to reflect this. Unfortunately after the last sierra update to 10.12.5 citrix does not work any more... says it can not connect....

Fairly buggy app / service that requires much patience and persistence to get useful functionality. Recommend extracting the app from the package and not using the rest of the garbage they install in your system. Previous versions of Citrix client products have made a mess of the system, not worth the risk. A point of interest: this app is no longer available in the Apple Mac App store. Apple has solid reasons for not permitting an app. Could it be that this app has the capability to violate your system trust from the Citrix server console? Virtual screen tech like Microsoft Remote Desktop an a plethora of standard VNC desktop sharing systems exist so it is not the approach that keeps the latest Citrix Receiver from the store. Bear in mind Citrix Receiver was permitted in the App Store up to the Mar 11, 2011 release but then was "de-listed". "Is it Safe?" - Running Man

What is REALLY needed as an app improvement is to display the WINDOWS ICON instead of the Citrix Receiver icon in the Dock when you are running Windows apps -- else each icon is generic and just shows Citrix Viewer as the name, which is not helpful! Citrix, if you are reading this, please add this to the planned improvements for the next version!

This came out months ago. As has already been pointed out, this replaces the old Citrix Online Plug-in. The main difference seems to be the installation and set-up. It was so convoluted under the old online plug-in you had to make sure you had the right version of JAVA installed just to run the installer. After that it never worked until you manually started the plug-in which was buried deep in the recesses of Mac OS. A normal user had absolutely no chance. It was like going back to 1997. Then there was the Citrix support or rather lack of it. The impenetrable Citrix website is anathema to the slickness and clarity that is Apple. Citrix make so many products and it is absolutely impossible to deduce what they all do, how (or if) they work together or how to use them. The Citrix website is completely impossible for anyone who doesn't work for Citrix to use and Citrix seem to be completely incapable of seeing their product miasma through the mind of someone coming to the Citrix universe for the first time. It's so opposite to Apple it's incredible.

This is the replacement for the old Citrix Client, but in many ways it's far worse. For example, it doesn't work with dual monitors unless the left monitor is the main monitor. Is that some kind of programming joke? Horrid software. Ugly interface. Poorly implemented.

We tested and even if the left monitor is the main, can't work on dual monitors. Citrix support say it's an admin setting on the infrastructure side, so we opened an internal ticket.
