This is a good until, you can do it with scripts but this is easier. One thing i miss, is that it can only watch 1 folder, so I'm running 4 instances as i have separate folders for video, tv, films and music. If that would be fixed(just 1 instance who could scan different folders and could adjust the type in the iTunes library: films, tv shows, music clips) and could delete something in the library when it is gone then it would be perfect and I would gladly pay 20 dollars for it.

This is a great app! I've been looking for a way to sync my music from a network attached storage with out copying to my macs and automatically push new music to itunes. This has worked perfect so far.

But the watch folder is too limited, this can look at an entirely different folder.

Well cant you just use an alias folder or a hard link (ln) if you want it located elsewhere?

No cause that screws my iTunes library up and their still is the missing other directories that need to be scanned. The only thing close to this, is working with a script... But i like it the easy way ;-)

Going to give it a whirl, but without a Windows counter part its of limited use for the other computers in my house. So far I can't see how to only synch certain parts, I may not want to synch all movies or TV shows. Beta version runs for 30 days which is good, I don't pay to beta test.
