Overview

mAcme is software to monitor your GSM modem and retrieve key information such as Network ID, Cell ID and signal strength. mAcme can retrieve the coordinates of your cell tower, if these are available and you have opted to use this service. Ditch the provider's dashboard now. mAcme also features USSD and SMS functions. Intel-only and PPC-only versions available at Intel and PPC

Hi Spectral7. Thank you for pointing out the broken link. I will remedy this shortly. The Terms and Conditions of the software are on Page 7 of the ReadMe PDF that is part of the ZIP download. As for data harvesting, while such software would be very good at stealth harvesting, you can install LittleSnitch and be sure: the only data connection it makes to another site is the Location-API link, which is provided as a courtesy. In fact, it may be removed from future version if the owners of that site request as much. And while this software could send text messages without being stopped or detected, these would cost money and would be visible on any user's itemised billing. This would risk my integrity and I would be "found out" so to speak. So I can assure you that no data is being harvested at all.

@House of Scorpio sorry for implication was not intended. I just get worried about Mobile Data stuff at the moment as their seems to be so much Data Harvesting going on without users knowing.
