Well this looks like a replacement for the now abandoned MAFFia only with more than sheep to destroy. I'll have to give it a spin but the graphics look a little too perfect.

I should also mention to the developer if you happen to have access to a Mac running at least MacOS 10.5.7 I could send you a copy of MAFFia which I still have. It's now abandonware and you might get some good ideas from it.

"Added option to disable blood effects"

Seriously?

Why don't you just invent a "factory farm" game and see if you can kill these kinds of animals more realistically. At least that would be genuinely educational.

Christ, this thing is vile and disgusting. The theme is animals "escaping their environment". So we use them for target practice, huh? Blow them away, even though they're not threatening anyone or each other; and do so in a particularly horrible way.....via flame thrower or rocket launcher?
Really mindless and gratuitous
Totally offensive.
Yeah, this IS pretty sick stuff. The fact that the developer elected to go with this theme is quite revealing.

That's a pleasant concept for a game....shooting animals.

How about shooting terrorists? Or Nazi's?

How about a game where all the animals shoot hunters and abattoir operators....blow their feckin' heads off.
After all, turnabout IS fair play.

Hmm. The weapons of choice include a flame thrower and a rocket launcher, too.
Can't allow those poor animals to escape the tender mercies of man, huh?
Use the flame thrower to broil a lamb or steer while alive; listen while they scream in agony.
Beautiful...just beautiful.
I'd say that the developer of Barnyard Blaster used poor judgement in choosing and developing this theme.

Seriously, stick to shooting human beings, much less offensive!

I apologize if I've offended anyone, I certainly don't promote animal cruelty of any type. This game, just like all other violent video games, is only meant for mature audiences and shouldn't be taken literally.

If you view the video on the developers website which demonstrates Barnyard B in action, you'll see what appears to be the interior of a barn with animals peacefully and docilely milling about.
Then, the video shows the firepower in action, with the animals being blasted to smithereens.
Another scene then shows them in a street environment, still peaceful and docile, also given the same treatment.
I'd say that this is pretty sick stuff.
To N.Flick, this is NOT a matter of political correctness, but an issue of higher personal values.
Killing for fun, especially of the essentially defenseless as are the barnyard animals here, even though vicarious and in one's world of fantasy, is depraved and sick. Period!

Yep, this thing IS a sickeroo alright. Images of both barnyard animals as well as bear, deer, and what appear to be racoons, none of them threatening anyone or each other. All just blasted away. And this is supposed to be fun???
The developer says that he doesn't promote animal abuse. Ok, then. So what is the game all about , if not killing them in a horrible, sadistic manner. And why? Because the animals are escaping, crossing the environment. So, lets kill them.
If nothing else, Barnyard Blaster desensitizes its players to the suffering of all sentient beings.
The developer is a case in point; he obviously doesn't have a clue.
he says that the game is only meant for "mature audiences". The game's description says "the replay value will keep you occupied for countless hours".
I can't imagine that a person with a mature state of mind would even "get off" on playing this abomination, let alone play it for hours. Yes, this thing is twisted all right.
