It took me many tries to get it installed through the terrible security system, then, when I got it running, it plays terrible. Frame rate is fine, but the mouse control is so imprecise makes the view skip about painfully.

The game might be fun on other platforms, but certainly not like this.

I originally bought this game the day before taking a trip thinking it would be fun to pass the useless hours spent in a hotel room. Turns out the need for High Speed Internet access kinda shot that down.

GREAT game, but the UbiSoft no I-Net no Play rule, kinda sucks.

I bought this game from MacUpdate. And so far I have not been able to use it all.
It crashes all the time when started or shortly after. I tested 3 different Macs, 2 with Snow Leopard, one with Leopard. On all 3 the game crashes. Only difference is when, upon start or in the game.

There´s also no support on the Ubisoft Webside, Don´t buy this piece of software. It´s just a waste of money.

It's not working.
First launch after install: Kernel Panic
Next 5 launches the game started but I had to switch back to the desktop to enable 2 processes for unlimited internet traffic, Game Launcher and Assassins Creed 2.
Hitting the ^ key while the Ubisoft logo animation is playing will unexpectedly quit the game.
Keystrokes are not recognized.
Launch #6: Kernel Panic

I was unable to play the game, because the rare times it didn't crash (including crashing my whole system) it didn't recognize any keypressed except the one on the logo animation that crashed the game.

MacPro 1,1
2x2,66 GHz, 5 GB
ATI Radeon HD 4870

Looks like this is my first and last Ubisoft game. Any way to get my money back because the product is not working at all?

In addition to my first post: pressing the ^ key will crash the game, no matter when. Logo, title, ingame. Btw. it's a german keyboard layout.

I assume this is where you're supposed to ask if your system is supported (as I see no discussion link on the web page).

I have a MacBook Pro 17 Core i7, 8GB RAM, 1000 GB HDD, MacOS X 10.6.5 with an nVidea GeForce GT 330M GPU - will this system run Assassin's Creed 2?

Assassin's Creed 2 Digital Deluxe Edition (Video) includes Assassins Creed 2 and three bonus maps! Explore some of the Renaissance's most prestigious monuments to reveal secret treasures in three special in-game maps: Palazzo Medici, Santa Maria Dei Frari, and the Arsenal Shipyard.

Assassin's Creed 2 is the follow-up to the title that became the fastest-selling new IP in video game history. The highly anticipated title features a new hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian noble, and a new era, the Renaissance.

Assassin's Creed 2 retains the core gameplay experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players.

Assassin's Creed 2 is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence's most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

Features

EZIO, A NEW ASSASSIN FOR A NEW ERA: Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a young Italian noble who will learn the ways of the assassins after his family was betrayed and he looks to seek vengeance. He is a lady's man, a free soul with panache yet has a very human side to his personality. Through him, you become a master assassin.

RENAISSANCE ITALY: Italy in the 15th century was less a country and more a collection of city-states where families with political and economic strength began to take leadership roles in cities like Florence and Venice. This journey through some of the most beautiful cities in the world takes place in a time in history where culture and art were born alongside some of the most chilling stories of corruption, greed and murder.

A NEW-FOUND FREEDOM: You will be able to perform missions when you want and how you want in this open-ended world that brings back free-running and adds elements such as swimming and even flying to the adventure. The variety in gameplay adds another layer for you to truly play through the game any way you choose.

DYNAMIC CROWD: Discover a living, breathing world where every character is an opportunity for the player. Blending in with the crowd is easier, working with in-game characters provide ample rewards but can also lead to surprising consequences.

BECOME A MASTER ASSASSIN: Perfect your skills to become a master assassin where you brandish new weapons, learn to disarm enemies then use their weapons against them, and assassinate enemies using both hidden blades.
