Quickly add events to iCal.

Wow, awesome. A great way to quickly write down an entrance to iCal. Some stuff could be improved though; For instance, notification (alarm). If you could set as default that all reminders would set of a notification at a changeable amount of minutes. "Enable iCal's Default 15-minute Alarm" checkbox doesn't really do anything. When I check it, it unchecks itself after starting iCal. If you type 2 different days it chooses the first instead of the last. Well, more options would be neat. Like changing the hotkey and so on. Cheers

Took me a while to figure out that "Preferences" only opens when the main window is closed. Also this app needs to look for the /User/Library/Sounds also, as that's where folks store their custom sounds.

The syntax seems hard to follow - the concept is great, but I find it difficult to apply consistently - giving erroneous date entries. So far I have found just two syntactical forms that always work as intended. It would help if the developer listed the formats to be used and the expected outcomes. I very much like the whole idea - just needs some refinement maybe and documentation. Look forward to further development.

also - I note the app is free for the moment - thank you. I may purchase in the future, but NOT from the Apple Store

When I add an event to one of my subscribed Google cals (which I selected in the RML prefs), the time is entered 5 hours earlier than what i specify. The time zone settings in Google, iCal and BusyCal are all correct (Eastern Time)

I haven't tried Remind Me Later but notice v1.3 has the configurable global hotkey you suggested. QuickCal Desktop (http://smellypuppy.com/quickcal-desktop/), which I recently discovered, also lets you change/disable its hotkey shortcut. MU has a listing for the QC widget (shown in Similar Software here), but not its newer Desktop version.

A really neat program--just what I'd been looking for! Thanks to the gracious developer for offering it free.
