From the makers of EarthDesk, Cinematica lets you manage your video library in great detail, keeping track of dozens of properties for each and every file. Sort and search by multiple criteria such as genre, studio, program, season and episode, as well as by technical properties including resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate, and video codec.

Cinematica uniquely imports and catalogs video files quietly in the background, and uses smart collections to efficiently catalogue all of your video files into groups. Simply drag and drop video files and let Cinematica do the rest.

Apparently abandoned by this tiny developer from Incline Village, Nevada...

Actually, we have spent the last year building a major update and expect to release Cinematica 2.0 next month.

Way too simple and incapable to be priced at $25. It’s worth more like $3.

Here is the list of things I would like to have in this application.

1. Show items in a grid and sort them with the series name just like iTunes.
2. Sort video list feature by the TV show series.
3. Same or similar interface as iTunes or better.
4. Expanded list feature would have sorting bar on the top.
5. Convert videos into other formats.

It's OK, just to simple and plain for that price.
Doesn't catch info from iMDB, can't monitor folders for new items, can't select the screenshot for preview frame, can't specify double click action, etc.

This application was an instant buy for me.

I've been waiting awhile for an application like this that aggregates all the things I've accumulated over a lot of drives all over my network. Just wish it had an auto fill option for sites like Amazon to speed along the process of adding details and such.

It auto uses just the right app to play the file and outside of the afore mentioned wish does everything I could have asked for in a Movie Library Manager.

Look forward to future features and updates.
