I didn't know NuKit until recently when it appeared on MacUpdate promo. When I saw it for the first time I just thought it's another file launcher like many others that reside on my Mac and I rarely use them. Well, I was wrong! To begin with it functions flawlessly i.e. the program receives and responds to the commands without fail even if you type them very quickly. It's possible to assign a variation of shortcuts to all your primary files, applications, urls, scripts and system actions like muting the volume, restarting, shutting down, etc. My favorite function is bringing up the dictionary in the same window I use to type other commands i.e. if I type let's say "saf" it launches Safari but if I write "Safari" it immediately gives me a brief definition of this word. Hitting return brings up full definitions and shows the embedded dictionary. I find this more intuitive than searching my words on a full definition dictionary right from the very beginning. Words like "high" or "dry" have tens of meanings that unless you know what you want it's like searching a needle in a haystack. Well, with NuKit's function of showing only a brief description of each meaning searching for such words is not so tedious as before. Those who use Apple's Magic Mouse can surely benefit from removing or resizing functions; I don't. To put it in a nutshell, if you are looking for a fast simple utility that can handle many of your daily needs on your computer then you might consider this tiny but in the meantime great application.
