WebRemote for Mac3.0

09 November 2011

Use Apple Remote to control YouTube videos.

What is WebRemote for Mac

WebRemote lets you control online video and music websites with your Apple Remote.

WebRemote works with these websites:

  • YouTube.com
  • Grooveshark.com
  • AudioBox.fm

Open one of the sites above in Safari and use your Apple Remote to control playback, play/pause/seek/skip, adjust the volume or browse videos and songs.

No need to get up from the couch to pause a video or change a song. Just use your remote control and Web Remote.

What's new in WebRemote

Version 3.0:

A major update with a completely redesigned on-screen menu for browsing videos, navigating playlists, and managing the queue.

  • Adds compatibility with the most recent version of the YouTube website, namely addressing the issue of play/pause not working while a video is in fullscreen mode.
  • Redesigned on-screen menu
  • Play/pause used to be broken for fullscreen YouTube videos
  • Compatibility with latest YouTube website changes (especially playlist support)

The download link is a 7 demo. This isn't free and it is $4.99 at the App Store today. Despite the confusion I am impressed with the demo. I hope to see more designs too. Great job.
