Somewhat late, but you can download previous version from the website: http://bluezbox.com/audiobookbinder/AudiobookBinder-1.15.dmg

Great App!! Just does what it should: convert audio files to iTunes with chapters and cover. Creating and numbering Chapters is a bit tricky the first time.

To Dev:
Since version 1.13 AudiobookBinder doesn't show the names of aiff-files.
I liked the old icon better :-)

1.13 switched from showing filename to track name by default. You can right-click (control-click) on table header and add File column to the table.

I liked the old one better too :) But Apple does not alow to use its products and trademarks in icons/logotypes/ads. So Audiobook Binder had to loose ipod.

I was about to comment on how awesome it was to find one of these programs that actually works!

... but then it crashed when I switched over to chrome. OS X 10.6.5, Mac Pro 1,1

This is extremely easy to use to create audiobooks, but I cannot figure out how to get chapters to work. I checked the developers website and cannot find any documentation.

Just press Command + E to enable chapters and then use Command + J to join selected files into chapter or Command + S to split files in selected chapter in individual chapter. Also you can use drag'n'drop to move files from chapter to chapter or reorganize chapter order.

I'll make proper documentation ASAP.

Long overdue but here it is, quick'n'dirty tutorial for creating audiobooks with chapters:
http://bluezbox.com/audiobookbinder/chapters.html

I tried to keep it clear and simple so some details that seem to be obvious to me but not to users might be missing. Feedback and pointers to missing stuff are highly welcome.

Thanks

Xcode4 ate my PPC support :( I apologize for not checking release. Re-fetch .dmg and give it a try again.

Nice to see a free tool for this. 2 things I noticed: 1) should be able to Copy/Paste text to the Title and Author fields. 2) would be nice to split the m4b on output into pieces based on the # of hours.

Big thanks to the Dev for putting this out there!

Looks good so far but it would be nice if it used all the processors instead of hitting just one of them. I do like the fact that it's also a 64 bit app. Great app considering it's free.

practicaleq had trouble on 07 Nov 2012
Version 1.15 running on Mac OS 10.7.4 has a problem:
It doesn't show the files when adding them, either with drag or drop or the plus button. This makes it hard to know what has already been added, and impossible to organise individual files into chapters.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Andy Smith
