Sadly, I stopped working on Dicy some years ago. But I recently released its iOS spiritual successor, Hedra : https://appsto.re/be/twkOkb.i ! Hope you like it just as much.
Dicy was the best find ever! As a table top gamer I use my macbook air as my notebook and character sheet. Dicy is the PERFECT companion to all this.
My suggestion would be for the Presets to be displayed on a slide out Tab so that you could click directly on the preset.
The developer contacted me directly regarding my feedback below, and this release is the result of that communication. Dicy now does everything I could ever expect from a dice roller application, and the developer has shown themselves to be extremely aware of their userbase.
I never expected to be so impressed by a dice roller app, but here we are.
A solid roller! The floating window and dock menu are fantastic additions. Perhaps the Dock roller could also give out a Growl alert?
Also, if an option could be given for the window to either show the animated dice, or just smaller buttons with "d4, d6" etc? It would be an even smaller footprint and less visually distracting, at the compromise of the dice being less visually identifiable (hence why only as an option).
This is a good product, and I'll use it as my roller during sessions from now on. If it could roll pools of dice with options like "drop lowest/highest" or you could enter formulas on the fly instead of just presets, I'd happily replace my other dice roller app with this; it certainly already looks better!
A quick, fun way to get dice results not only for RPG's but for other games as well. Particularly useful when playing Magic: The Gathering with customized house rules.
The GUI is gorgeous & uncluttered and as stated above, it's customizable.
Would love to see this ported to iPhone/iPad!
