Sticky note task manager.

Overview

Pool is a great handy way to remember tasks. However, they often get messy on your shiny Mac. We formed their spirit software, which makes your workspace a little bit tidier and productive.

What's new in Pool

Version 1.1:
  • Alternative background patterns in Preferences.
  • Enhanced status menu.

I love alternative to-do approach and loathe David Allen's crazy GTD method (after having tried to implement it for years) but there's one problem with this app: It will not scale. I can say that because having input 5 tasks, I already feel ambivalent as to what to do, and what's most important. Imagine having input several hundred tasks into thirty projects or so... I get stressed just thinking about the mayhem that would visually be presented to me. The ideal to-do manager would be an app that helps you cut down on all the mess and competiting tasks.

Additional commentary. There is no help of any sort available. e.g. The application comes with a few sample notes that have some formatting and icons; but I cannot find anyway to format text or add icons. That is important. How about selecting a font ? font size ? colors? etc. etc.

I like this. However, there is little about this to suggest that one should pay $15 for it. I would price it at ½ of that - $7.50 feels precisely correct. Have you noticed what iPhone Apps cost ? A lot less than that.
