DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS SCREEN SAVER. Upon installation, this screensaver installs a menu extra which phones home with marketing information about your system. If you try to quit this menu extra using tools such as Activity Monitor, the application will restart, because, on installation, this screen saver's installer also installs a LaunchDaemon whose job it is to make sure that their spyware can't be quit. While their uninstaller does work (if you take them at their word), it is also deceptively phrased, as (if my memory serves me correctly) the screensaver's uninstaller uninstalled *merely* the screensaver, leaving the spyware in place; you have to run the SPYWARE's uninstaller to properly remove yourself of the thing, or take it all out manually. In short, there are plenty of other legitimate, non-spyware screen savers you can install should you so desire them. This company's practices are, in my own opinion, so deceptive as to make sure they never have a place on my computer; I suggest you make the same decision.

This disguised opinion collection process is illegal in Australia and the company could well find itself facing a breach of the Trades Practises Act. Recent fines have been in the tens of millions of dollars. Ha Ha. I hope they roll.

The PremierOpinion directory resides in the Applications folder. The PremierOpinionUninstall program likewise resides in the same directory.

This screensaver is *NOTHING* but a cover for a marketing company attempting to acquire your demographic information. For those of you who have a network filter (ex. Little Snitch, etc.), you will see the installer manages to install a third party application called 'PremierOpinion'. which not only installs itself in the menubar, but phones home regularly. I would avoid 7art-Screensavers.com at all costs!!!!

It's a pretty cruddy screensaver and a very cloaked custom installation application (i.e., not the standard pkg or Installer or drop-'n'-drag-the-app setup). It's not worth the download, and, in fact, it's so low-quality and suspiciously spammy as to not really have a place on MacUpdate.

IT IS IN FACT A SPYWARE !!! Users think that they are agreeing to normal terms and conditions as nearly all of us don't bother to read them because we assume that they are the normal ordinary ones.

THE STING ... "In order to provide this free download of 7art_Secret_Land_screensaver, PremierOpinion software, provided by VoiceFive, Inc., is included in this download. This software allows millions of participants in an online market research community to voice their opinions by allowing their online browsing and purchasing behavior to be monitored, collected, and once anonymized, used to create market reports, materials and other forms of analysis that may be shared with our clients to help our clients understand Internet trends and patterns and other market research purposes. The information which is monitored and collected includes internet usage information, basic demographic information, certain hardware, software, computer configuration and application usage information about the computer on which you install PremierOpinion. We may use the information that we monitor, such as name and address, to better understand your household demographics; for example, we may combine the information that you provide us with additional information from consumer data brokers and other data sources in accordance with our privacy policy. We make commercially viable efforts to automatically filter confidential personally identifiable information and to purge our databases of such information about our panelists when inadvertently collected." The developer should have made this CLEAR in the product description above yet he didn't mention it at all !!!
