To be perfectly honest, I mainly use either open-source software or ahh, you know, software obtained by other means. But after a week of using this trial, I had no qualms about buying this. Simply, it is the most entertaining and mesmerizing screensaver I've ever seen. It's customizable not only for personal preferences aesthetically but also for tweaking it's use of system resources. If my laptop is nearby when my wife and I start watching a movie, I have to make sure I close the lid since many times it's more interesting to watch than what's on the tv screen. Great, cool, well-done etc. Frequent updates with no problems transferring the license over on each install.

Definitely the coolest screensaver I've seen in a long time, if not ever. Easily worth $6 :)

Like the last reviewer, I'm also extremely happy to see this one being brought back to life for Snow Leopard! Thanks!! A donation will be coming your way in the next two weeks. :)

I was very happy to see this screensaver being resurrected after it stopped working on Snow Leopard. If you like the iTunes artwork screensaver or the '1000 covers animation' core animation demo, give this one a try (see this video http://www.spike.com/video/apple-ipod/2807738). Unfortunately the screensaver is no longer free, but not priced too high for me, but could be a bit cheaper. Being a CD-collector, I really like this screensaver to show the artwork of my CD's. And that's also the only thing missing at the moment; The screensaver doesn't have an option to show artwork from iTunes. Fortunately, I've got all my CD covers stored as separate images as well (stored in CDPedia), so I can choose those. Four stars for this missing feature. Furthermore...great!
