It's Apple IT JUST WORKS Apples hardware over he last few years has been of very poor quality Whats worse is that Apple just turn a blind eye to it. Since 2006 3 iMacs and a Macbook have all died with zero love from Apple. Pathetic if you ask me.

The quality of Apple monitors should be commensurate to a) Apple's brand name and reputation, and b) the high price tag carried. The internal policy that views problems like out-of-the-box dead pixels and yellow-tinged displays to be "normal," keeps me away from Apple monitors.

Your Macs have product warranties. Any unit that fails during that period will be repaired or replaced by Apple. So please define the problem. Are you saying they refused to honor the warranty? Peace, Gene

Out of warranty they wont even look at you. 3 iMac not even last 3 years in my opinion is pathetic. All 3 suffered the same issue they would freeze, graphic tearing horizontal lines everywhere. One was even repaired 3 times.

I agree with ECHOROB! Quality have become poor the last 3 years. And no they don't fix it always for free. Here in Belgium, for some screen issues, Apple asks 400+€! I own a 2007 iMac C2D 17" with wite vertical lines on the screen. They just appeared one day... Seems that thousends of people are having the same issue. It's in the Apple forum and if you Google the problem you can read all about it! I live less then 1km from the French border where they repair the problem for free. It's a shame for a company like Apple. If you look at the quality numbers Apple is going down. I'm waiting to upgrade 3 Macs!!!! A first time since 1995! I hope quality issues are solved VERY soon... Even their flagship is having serious issues. China is maybe cheap, but quality lacks behind. I would love to pay a few 100€ more for a well build Mac. About a failing Mac after unboxing, it is a BIG bummer. One could expect this from a PC, but a Mac? And sending your brand new baby back after unboxing it is not funny! That's a serious issue. With kind regards. A Mac user since 1995.

It will be interesting to see if this affects the yellow screen issues currently plaguing 27" iMacs. Apple have not mentioned this issue directly, yet internal communications have been seen that make clear they are aware. If this does fix the issue, why have Apple not made it clear that it was designed to do so ? If it does NOT fix the issue when will Apple respond to the growing and legitimate concerns that are present ?
