Long time user and I purchased perpetual licence - it's that good. Produces high-res/high-quality graphs very quickly and with very little fuss. Some line fitting options with associated stats all add icing to the cake. Control over every aspect of the graph and elements. Highly recommended. 5 star app - no question. can't use stupid new 'review' system here so am posting 'comment' rather that trying to navigate overly-complex 'review' template on offer

Best graphing app for macOS, hands down. Flexible, beautiful plots, best value/cost, supportive developer. Always evolving. Look no further. Enough said.

The last reviews are rather old so I think I should add a new one. DataGraph is very helpful for my daily work to visualize the data dynamically. The developer are very responsive. In my case I asked for native data exchange between other environments like R. Now a R library is available which not only exchange plain tables but also sequences of tables which can be chosen by a slider within DataGraph (dtable format). Quite powerful! Thanks again :-)

This looks like a very powerful plotting program with an innovative interface. I didn't try the trial long enough to understand much about the program, and the reason is that to my way of thinking, the kinds of files that can be imported are way too limited. Cricket Graph files are supported which is odd because that program is ancient, I think, and vector-type Matlab files are supported (good) but not Matlab matrix files. It can read Plot files (Plot is another nice (and free) Mac plotting program). The most flexible file format is text which it appears to handle well. What is sorely needed is a general import function for arbitrary binary data where the user can specify whether the data are integers or floats and how many bytes per number, how long is the header if any (in bytes) and how to parse the data into rows and columns. I'm thinking of Igor Pro which as never let me down in this regard. DataGraph claims to work well with large files and maybe it does who who imports millions of numbers from a text file? A very nice piece of work but I'll pass for now, until the import capability is much improved. large sow

I'm always on the lookout for nice new graphing programs (using them multiple times daily) and datagraph really takes the cake. It's not a full on data analysis program (but you would be surprised what you can do), but as a graphing app it really shines. Fast, stable, makes very nice looking graphs, and the most responsive developer I've every seen. As an example, he sent me a multi page email explaining a problem I was having, complete with pictures. Lets see, what else...the file import is seamless (and I've thrown some ugly files at it), no more fussing with telling the program what delimiters to use (I'm looking at you kaleidagraph) you just drag and drop. The only (slight!) downside is the price, some might consider it a bit steep. For me it's worth it, since I probably spend 10 hours a week fussing with graphs. Oh, did I mention the graphs are pretty?

I've now had more time to put DataGraph to use and it is a truly amazing program. Aside from it's performance, which is incredible, I keep finding new things I can do with it. For example, I can generate plots by using one .dgraph file as a template and feed new sets of data into it from the command line (or from a script), and output a .pdf of the new graph, or whatever format. Plus I can set the value of variables, such as the title of the graph, from command line or script. There are some bugs, for example I couldn't get my graph-title variable to go into the Title field. Selecting it from the pop-up menu did nothing. However, I found that I could put it into a different field and then drag it to the Title field, and that worked, so obviously this is just a bug that will hopefully get fixed. In any case I've got a workaround for now. So, if you need to plot data on the Mac, this is a fantastic program to choose, and it's well worth the asking price. Highly recommended!

This program is pretty amazing. I've got a set of data that Excel and Numbers are incapable of handling in entirety at all, and even when I break it up into 13 smaller pieces, small enough for them to accept, they choke on even the smaller sets of data and are brought to a screeching halt any time I change anything at all about the graph (such as axis labels). The data isn't that complicated, there is just a lot of numbers. So I downloaded DataGraph and while the program is a bit complicated (though not that hard to figure out the basics), and there's a lot I haven't figured out yet, it was able not only to plot the entire data set in one fell swoop, but it did so in a few seconds. While I am struggling with the price tag of DataGraph, I find myself getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger because it is such a world of difference.

This is an excellent 2D graphing program for those looking for a native Mac program. It supports copy/paste data import from spreadsheet programs and delimited text files. There are also several ways to create graphs from the command line using a template--very useful for batch/scripting. The interface is well designed and easy to navigate. The program is frequently updated and the developer is incredibly responsive. The program does what it's designed to do and it does it well. A very happy user!
