PaperScreen is a little but cool application that allows you to change your desktop wallpaper into a background screen saver. PaperScreen has an excellent performance and is very slim and compatible. PaperScreen has features like Screeni or Wallsaver, but is more simple, system integrated and fast.

I´ve got problems with stopping this app. please help me. I don´t know, how to stop it. just klicking on the stop-icon don´t work. my mac just jump to the screensaver. when I move the cursor, the screensaver stops and paperscreen is still running???
please help me!!! :-/

on 10.8 this app become like a Skynet virus that takes over the CPU of your mac. Clicking the stop icon then restarting worked for me. Then make sure you delete the app!

Absolutely the most minimal desktop animator I've seen, especially in terms of saving processor power:
On my old intel MacBook:

CPU time is 0.07, there's only 2 threads, it uses 2.5 MB of Real RAM.

Wish I could test this on my old G4 Tiger Mac Mini.

One thing to note is that it's helpful to place the included sidekick app "Stop Paperscreen" into the dock (or somewhere easily accessible to you) first. Then hide all apps. Looks great with screensavers that fill up the whole screen with colors.

Very easy to use, and has an excellent performance. Now, when I open my Mac, i directly see the screensaver, and not the wallpaper for desktop background. More good than Screeni and Wallsaver because is more system-integrated (and on startup you haven't stupid dialogs).

Not sure what PaperScreen is supposed to do. Whatever it is, it didn't do it for me. Nothing happened that I could see, and my prior running screen saver wasn't working when I tried to activate it.

Looking forward to future comments and maybe some concept as to what this is supposed to do. A que hora, nada.
