I would consider using this if it had sync via Dropbox - better yet, WiFi. I'm not interested in registering with or passing my data through some random company's servers to sync.

Still needs a lot of work regarding GUI but it is most certainly a good idea to work on. @Dev: Please consider a GUI rework. Look at other modern GUI. For example, do not use grey (metal look) windows because those are deprecated a long time ago.

I just downloaded the trial before purchasing from the App Store. The Preferences are greyed out so I'm not sure if there are any preferences that can be adjusted or not. I'm in Canada and require an app that tracks litres and kilometres, not gallons and miles. If the app can't do metric I suggest updating it so it can. Until then I won't be purchasing. Thanks.

Nice try, but a bit unintuitive, IMHO. I tinkered with this for a couple of weeks, but simply could not figure out some very basic things, like how to schedule maintenance. I know that it should be easy, but it seems overly complicated, as it is not a mere matter of entering mileage and then saving what you've entered. Perhaps I'm just too much of a luddite to be able to figure out a simple $10 app!

I am currently evaluating Car Maintenance. I like the new report of service due -- thanks, it was sorely needed. I don't find the mileage report useful FOR ME. But years ago I would have liked it since I tracked every tankful back then. I've have issues where the software is NOT trapping errors, such as if I enter something other than a year in the year field. The program crashes. I found it not possible trying to enter past services performed without reading the how-to guide; after reading it, it now it is easy. I will probably pay for this program near the end of my evaluation period. It performs the basic functions I am after. I used to use Car Companion (very similar functionality) but it has not been updated to the latest Mac OS.

I downloaded this app and it opens but then I get this message: "Persistent store migration failed, missing mapping model" and new menu item is not functional. I also noticed on your web site help page it's supposed to be a DMG file but when downloaded it's a ZIP file. I've trashed the app and pref files and re-downloaded it several times with the same results. I have an earlier version 1.0 (22) that I tried and it works just fine. Very puzzling and I'm not sure what's going here. Hopefully the developer will fix this.

Downloaded - No Problem Opened - No Problem Added basic data for one vehicle - told program to save - Problem Program showed error - and quit - report sent to apple Restarted program - same scenario - would not save any data and quit Tried 3 times - trashed program I'm running 10.6.4 with all upgrades and a ton of ram - never had this type of problem with any other program. gp
