I am a web devel and this app looked interesting. So I downloaded and fired it up, but the 5-minute demo kept me from ever completely figuring it out. What on earth were the developers thinking? I could not find any prefs to allow a different color besides the billious green as the new default. Maybe if there were more time... Somewhat useful features for the price. Disappointing customer interface. The 'Green' license is absurd.

We are sorry that you are not satisfied with Dragonfly.
To change the colors, just click on them. To disable the variations effect, deselect the check box "Create variations from first color".
There is also an illustrated manual included on the disk image.

If clicking the color panes does not work for you, this is an unknown bug that we can't reproduce.
Maybe you could write us an e-mail with further information on the problem and your system.

Best regards
Anna

This is exactly what I've been looking for: a standalone color chooser that's simple and easy.
I create my websites with normal text editors that don't include a color chooser so I always used Pixelmator to select my colors but this was quite inconvenient...
I don't need Dragonfly's 8 color panes but I think the variations option may be useful and the price is all right.

Oh dear. I almost bought this handy little app until I noticed the "Green License" rubbish. Bye-bye.

I'll burn a set of tyres in your name if it will make you feel (spitefully) better.

Must say I like 'the green license' idea. Can't see how or why it should influence my buying decision.

I decided to get this app out of spite. Hell, I'll give away a few copies too.

Nice app I just purchased. The price point of 1 EUR is a bit weird though. Either charge 5 EUR or make it free - why bother charging 1 EUR? PayPal takes their part of the money as well right?

It is very kind that you value Dragonfly 2.6 more than we charged :-)

Dragonfly was free until version 2.1. We charged 1 euro (2 dollars) when we introduced the slightly improved versions 2.5 and 2.6.

Now that we released Dragonfly 3 we think it is fair to raise the price to 3 euros (4 dollars) since Dragonfly 3 has been rewritten from scratch and has some great new features.

Does anyone have a link to the previous version - 2.6?
I bought the previous version and I accidentally overwrote the 2.6 version, so now my license file is no good and I cannot find a download link for 2.6.

I do not feel like paying the extra 2 EUR right now.
Anyone help?

That's no problem. Please write an e-mail to us and we will send you the old version.

Please don't post support issues here because we do not regularly check our macupdate product listing comments. We can provide much better support by e-mail.
You find our e-mail address on our webiste http://mr-fridge.de/support/
