A tweet from the developer is at http://twitter.com/chocomokocom/status/3067626619:

"I had to put down the website and gc repo because of legal issues. But you can find a fork of #SweetFM on http://bit.ly/HNHFq"

Purchased this app and seemed to work fine. As of today the entire network has crashed for this application; as well, there is a vote to make it open source on the home page...? Not ONE mention of the app having issues with last.fm. WTF? $30 is $30 and seeing there is absolutely no way of contacting anyone for tech support other than to drop a message on "twitter", I will soon be contacting "no one" to get my money back.

Sparse connectivity with Last.fm and no tech support, was not what I agreed upon when I made this transaction.

Im sorry to hear that. You said that the network crashed, does that mean the application is no longer working?

I'm kinda getting sick of mac apps that start up and then just vanish into thin air. For instance, Visual Hub and this one, but Visual Hub at least had the decency of hanging around for more than one month.

If the developer of this application had to make it open-source so that it complies with lastFM, then he should have known this from the start. Instead here I am, July 24th, the application that I paid $30 no longer works because LastFM changed something, and who know if it will eventually be fixed.

To the dev, you really made a sh!tty move, people like you make me want to never spend another dime on shareware.

This app has alot of potential, it still needs some more polishing, I get an occasional "radio station request error" or "this app has quit unexpectedly" but if your a fan of last fm and find yourself always listening to it don't hesitate to buy this app. At first I was getting frustrated but after playing with it for a little bit I like this app alot. As long as the develpers keep it up, this can become a must have application for music listeners.

$29 seems mighty steep to me when there are free alternatives (which I'm sure are not as good, BUT get the basic job done just fine). I'll check back when it's $10.

Looks promising, but I cannot get it to play my Last.fm Library or Recommended stations. It only plays Last.HQ station (shows "Streaming Error"). Also, it won't stay visible - the window disappears when you click off of it. Since it uses WebKit, it's possible the Safari 4.0.1 release has frakked it up. Awaiting 1.0.2.

Apologies, the trouble I was having playing my library was not with SweetFM, but a block with LittleSnitch. SweetFM is working wonderfully, best Last.fm player out there! Only request right now is to have an option to keep the player visible all the time.
