Front Row on the Big Screen gives you complete control over what display Front Row uses on your Mac.

If you have multiple displays connected to your Mac and you have tried to use Front Row, you have discovered that Front Row only wants to play on your primary display (the one with the menu bar). If you want Front Row to play on the big screen TV connected to your iMac, or through a projector connected to your Macbook, you need to change your display preferences to move the menu bar to the secondary display, and then move it back to your normal configuration when done. This sounds nifty, but I was wondering if this could be modded to make FrontRow play properly with Spaces. I would like to be able to use FrontRow and use Spaces to see Finder or other program views in a separate space.

Nope. That's just the way Front Row is.

If you want to watch a movie on one screen and work on the other, you'll have to use Quicktime or VLC, etc.

What do you want it to do with iTunes? You can drag the windows of any windowed application (like iTunes) to any monitor you want.

itunes does not let you view the visualizer on a second display while still being able to control it from the main display or vise versa. No matter witch display you have the visualizer on, the other display is always black. This is quite annoying for parties, witch I DJ a lot. People like seeing the visualizer displayed on the big screen, but they don't like it when I have to leave the visualizer to put in a song request or something. Seeing the DJ mess around with the music que is not professional. Same thing goes for music videos in iTunes.

It's not a nice software solution like this is for Front Row, but you could try the method described at http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20090407144935534

Front Row on the Big Screen 1.1 have no effect on my Mac.
It starts and I select Display 1 or 2 doesn´t matter, FrontRow

Config:
QuadG5 Mac OSX 10.5.7, GeForce 7800GT
Apple (Acryl) CinemaDisplay 23" and 50" FullHD Panasonic Plasma
connected with DVI -> HDMI cable.

I took a look at the code, and realized that version 1.1 would only work if you'd run Front Row at least once since logging in. I've fixed this in version1.2, which I just uploaded. Give it a try and see if it is better for you now.

Not very convenient, is it?

Front Row on the Big Screen fixes all that. Simply run it, and choose which display Front Row should use. Now Front Row will use that display, without moving your menu bar. So when you are done with Front Row, you can continue using your Mac as if nothing ever happened.
