Zombie Assault is a very funny arcade game which you play over and over again without getting bored! It is as simple and addictive as flight control and other top paid casual games and I am pretty convinced that it has a likewise big future! It is nicely designed, has nice sounds and you definetly want to play again the next time you have a little time to spare. I do not want to spoil, so I am not going too much into details. After the game loads you see a clean menu accompanied by a very nice background sound. There are statistics which retain four different scores, highscore, average score, total score and games played. The developer announced that he is going to add global highscore to his next version. That makes sense because scoring (every trapped zombie +1 score) is the driving force which makes you want to hit the next highscore. Lets get to the gameplay itself. You just click "play" and you get right into it. You see the roofs of some buildings and a full moon in the background, careful observers will notice that the designer of that theme cared for the details. This goes to the complete game which has a cartoon-style, it is just nice to look at. There are ten traps in three different paths which the zombies start running along the second you start the game. All you have to do now is tap a trap when a zombie passes by. You will see an amusing death animation and here funny sounds. The first couple of games will be really hard to play because you do not yet have a feeling how long the trap you activated kills and how long it needs to reload itself again. Actually that is exactly the challenging part. The zombies become faster and faster throughout the game and you must have a really really good timing and be quick on the trigger! Enough said - if you do not give up after the first few games you will spend much time on Zombie Assault! "Plant traps to protect the citizens." is the subtitle of this article about Zombie Assault - This is not correct! You do not plant, and this is NOT a strategy game! You just use the traps that are already there! The game has less than 10mb. It crashed a couple of times but only while loading it. The developer has already announced a hotfix for that (which may be available when you read this text).
