I really love this app!
Even though it has been discontinued, I'm still using it on Mountain Lion. It really does everything I need perfectly. Some highlights (other developers take note!):
- Global shortcuts for everything
- Assign scripts to events (start, end a pomodoro, etc.)
- Export statistics
- Autofill pomodoro objective from Things (or OmniFocus)
I just hope it will continue to work on Mavericks.
This app had great potential. Sad to see it's discontinued. Wonder why, because download and usage numbers look rather good. Any desktop app that can replace this? It's a bit annoying on 10.8 with no Growl2 support.
Great app. But development has not continued since Dec 2011 from what I can see on GitHub. Also currently Growl is not correctly recognized (that is with Growl 1.3 and 1.4) and also setting for Growl messages to stay on screen are ignored. Ticket for the Grown issue is here: https://github.com/ugol/pomodoro/issues/249
Would love to see continued development for this. Also now that it is on the MAS and they Ugol charges for it, it would be nice towards users to enhance Pomodoro.
Great app! Highly customizable and very well thought. It has a surprising number of features (text to speech integration, interruption support, etc.). Everything can be customized and you can even integrate AppleScript if you're a crazy hardcore programmer.
I really like this app. It took me a while to make pomodoro technique work for me. I find 25 mins of work and 5 mins breaks far too long. I tried longer, since my billing timers usually end up around 45-55 mins per task, but really, pomodoro works for me at 10 mins work + 1 min break! So, experiment and see what works for you.
Great! The new icons look much better than before! I would also appreciate an option to hide the seconds, or to have a rough indicator of what is left (like the icon for the battery)!
For example you could have a pomodoro which colors itself continuosly with time, instead of having the exact amount left.
Thanks for this app! Pomodoro clearly has the edge over TimeBoxed which basically is just a countdown timer and does not offer the possibility to chain work and break timers. And it's free! It just need some pretty icons, especially the one in the menu bar is just plain ugly... It's not even recognizable.
