OMG an invasive toolbar... Fiorefox get out of my Safari lol The one think noone wants is a Safari that looks bloated like a PC-born app. Not elegant at all.

WARNING: This software package installs pieces of itself all over your library and system in a very stealth manner. If you decide you want to uninstall it, the uninstall will NOT completely uninstall it. In order to completely uninstall it, and get it totally out of Safari Preferences, you must either use Time Machine to take you User Library to a point before, the install; create a new user for yourself and delete the old one, or be a sophisticated user, able to read installer logs and use a tool such as File Buddy to remove this app. Personally I find the way this app imbeds itself into your system quite predatory as it does not provide a complete uninstaller that also installs its engine, and installs its various components under various names that are not easily identifiable as belonging to the primary product.

One of my primary concerns is that if you leave its components behind, aside from acting as a constant marker that you have tried the product, the leftover pieces, specifically the Add-On engine might trigger instabilities later in Safari or the entire system. Given the way it installs into your system and lacking a complete uninstaller, a non-technical Mac user may have to put up with having this product remaining active in their computer, similar to a virus, until they remove their user account or reinstall Mac OS X.

For these reasons I personally recommend that users do not install this product unless they are quite Mac savvy, have no intention of ever removing this product, or until the developer provides a complete uninstaller.

I'm looking to get rid of a toolbar. The beta that Safari had out just before the 10.6 update (which broke it) was wonderful on my laptop, because it gave me top tabs that eliminated the space wasting top border.

I'm not usually a supporter of censorship but this blight on the Mac user community must be banned! Ugly, useless and very windows-ish. Uck!

If this was April 1, it might be mildly amusing. But it's not, so I feel like I just lost a couple minutes of my life looking at the horrid screenshot and writing this review. Would the developer please return them? Thank you.

The whole reason I use Safari is because it hasn't got the horrible screen wasting, and bug ridden toolbars.

Works perfectly on Safari 3.23 ; and they still support Tiger :)
The interface isn't very nice (not really "mac friendly", the Mac OS look & feel) and i hope next version will bring more options... But it's a great start !

deinstall help

i agree with many of the opinions given. safari had been running smoothly until i installed this debacle of a software package. as far as i can tell these are the things that are installed.

/Library/InputManagers/Plugin Kit Input Manager
~/Library/Plugin Engines
~/Library/Application Support/Safari Third Party Plug-ins

and if you've run safari also the prefs.

~/Library/Preferences/com.macte.SafariPluginKit.engine.plist

the first one requires authorization. here's what should be the 'go to ''s to the folders on your hard drive. copy and paste them in the 'menu:go > go to folder' dialog in the finder and hunt down the items mentioned above.

/Library/InputManagers/
~/Library/
~/Library/Application Support/
~/Library/Preferences/
