Decloner overview
Decloner helps you find and eliminate duplicate files on your Mac. It uses SHA-1 algorithm to reliably determine if files are identical. Decloner has a simple straightforward user interface where you only need to choose where to scan, and Decloner will find duplicate files in those locations and all the subdirectories. You can scan multiple folders, iPhoto and Aperture libraries. Decloner then will show you the found duplicates and help get rid of them safely. Decloner never deletes anything permanently. All removed files are moved into the Trash so you can always restore them if you change your mind. The unique virtual Decloner Trash acts as a staging area for the files you remove before they are actually deleted. When determining which files to delete, you can see their information and use QuickLook to examine the contents just like you would do it in Finder. You can define file name exclusion patterns, and ignore small files. Decloner can process large number of files on internal or external disk drives. For your convenience Decloner includes Sparkle auto-update feature.

Nothing in the description, video or dev’s website says if this will filter images by file size and highlight the biggest ones.

I used to have similar problems too, but after using "DuplicateFilesDeleter" everything was solved. Try this software and you would be glad you did,
there are many ways in which you can sort the randomized files in the hard disk.

Unfortunately the algorithm Decloner uses doesn't seem to be very reliable. I tried with some variants of different audio samples that had been worked on and saved under new names and it tended to erroneously lump these together even though they are distinctly different in content. They do have same size and dates because they share the same origin, so maybe Decloner puts too much emphasis on meta-data.
Some of my duplicate mp3 tracks in iTunes it identified correctly, but I already have a specific itunes duplicate app for that.
I can't use this as my duplicates are in the thousands and looking trough and verifying them all after Decloner have selected these simply takes too much time.

I've been searching for (but have't found yet) an app that finds and shows duplicate folders (according to their content) separately. I probably have many folders containing the same files, but I'd like to identify those folders in the first place, instead of going through an endless list of all duplicate files within those folders.
Does this work with Decloner by any chance?
Or does anyone know an app with such a feature?
I'd very much appreciate any help or hints that could help me further ... thanks in advance!

How do I remove a folder at the top of the app? I accidentally selected the Pictures folder instead of the iPhoto library. Also, will this work to find duplicate email messages?
