The MIDI Game of Life sequencer is developed in the JAVA visual arts IDE and library Processing. It runs a loop of varying lengths or runs indefinitely the game of life algorithm. Each cell of the grid represents a pitch. The sequencer runs live and can be "played" and drawn on while running.
- Thread priority tweaks for less MIDI drift and tempo sync issues.
- OpenGL rendered version which results in a 30% drop in CPU usage on my 2.0ghz macbook, but looks odd from one graphics card to another.
Requires a MIDI Service Provider for JAVA such as MMJ or Mandolane.
