What's New
Version 1.1:

Introduces the service item version of the contextual menu. This provides access to the same functionality as the contextual menu in Snow Leopard, but as a service. In Snow Leopard you can now invoke the functionality as a service item named "Email Items" in either the Finder's "Services" sub-menu of its contextual menu or the Finder's application menu.

Version 1.0.2:

The default subject of the email message is set to a list of filenames of the attachments. Use the system preference pane to specify this option. If you turn it off only the first filename is used.

This is trivially implementable as an Automator workflow. Use the "Get Selected Finder Items" and "New Mail Message" actions, and save the workflow as a plug-in for the Finder. Literally, it is under thirty seconds of work.

I don't want to criticize (the developper makes very good applications), but I'm not sure about the utility of this one since you can get the same result by dragging and dropping the attachement on Mail icon in the Dock.

Yes, but EmailCM handles multiple file selection, and is so much easier than typing a full file path. Although my utility "FlePathCM" can help out there:

http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities/FilePathCM.dmg

And note that both EmailCM and FilePathCM are part of my "Utility Bundle" where a donation of your choice activates all utilities listed here:

http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html

Okay, it's not free, but the minimum donation requested is only ten bucks. Updates are always free, and new products, like EmailCM, are always included.

And, as usual, many more features will be coming to EmailCM over tim. Suggestions very very welcome!

Ciao

This developer is one of "the good guys". There are a lot of developers out there that charge eyebrow-raising prices for one-trick pony applications.

With this developer, you buy one of his apps and you have a whole stable of ponies. I believe this developer provides good value for a few bucks.
