A heads up. KavaMovies is licensed to a specific computer, which means that if you want to be able to use it on two Macs (like many other software licences permit), you will need to buy two copies.

Whoa, that is incredibly greedy. So if I want to use it on my laptop and on my desktop, too bad? Eff that, I'm not even checking out the demo.

That is a BAD practice. Most developers DO NOT follow this practice which actually DRIVES AWAY people from supporting them. If you are a SINGLE USER you should be allowed to install a registered copy on any of the Macs you own and use for yourself alone.

Thank you for the heads up. I was thinking about trying and eventually buying KavaMovies, but no way with this kind of license. I'll probably go for DVDpedia which has terrific support, reviews and a fair license. Extra note: some devs should look at other apps which have better license systems. On Scrivener, for instance, you can use it in any computer at your home to a maximum of 5. IMO, licenses and support distinguish an app from okay to great (and therefore successful).
