I have used !Sync plugin for Nokia E51 for several years and it works seamlessly.

I have over 2500 contacts and calender events from several years.

Syncing calenders do reach the break down limit of my Nokia (runs out of space) & thus I choose which calenders I want syncd & the months... I have been documenting my European travels on a motorbike for 8 years.

I will now get a Samsung Galaxy S Plus & will eventually try the appropiate solution.

Very reliable and I really don't care if they protect their invention/ licensing since it just works... period.

Works great but they have THE most paranoid licensing system I have seen on OSX. Any company that has "limited" activations I avoid. It is paranoia full stop.

It's just a parasite software, sony ericsson plug ins are for FREE as Nokia for example just go to Nokia and Sony Ericsson Web site, about the features about photo contact sync, that would be nice, but not in your site, not in this software manual talks about it!! And you have to pay to even try this install, such a hoax.

SonyEricsson FREE Software: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/

Nokia FREE Software:
http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/isync

Apple FREE iSync plugins software:

And lot of others...

Just do not forget that we:

a) deliver efficient support for our iSync plugins (which many free offerings do not)

b) support many phones which do not have any iSync plugin at all

c) offer contact picture sync for the phones which support it (and yes, I have to update the manual and website to show this option)

We do have many customers who tried the 'free' offerings and came to our solution later on, since it resolved problems they had with the other plugins.

And I just want to assure you, that we develop all plugins ourselves. So this is in no case any 'parasite' software or anything else. It is, after all, a very good second option for many cell phone users.

I'd also backup the first reply. My wife uses this plugin because her mobile (from Samsung) wasn't supported at all by iSync when she first moved to Mac. I have no idea if it is now supported natively. My wife continues to use this software and it works very well.

Sure, you can get support for a significant number of mobiles for free but don't knock the support for those that you cannot get for free. This is not, IMO, a parasite product.

Hello,

thanks for the note. We now support around 300 phone models and for many of those you might find another plugin somewhere, we add more features like contact pictures or the ability to change the time frame for the sync of events. Perhpaps you would like to adjust your rating to a mere comment? I think a one-star rating is reasonable only if the product does not work.

Kind regards,

This is the best sync plugin maker around. I purchased a Samsung B2100 about a month ago and then realized it was not supported in isync. I had some experience with Nova Media before so I sent them an email asking for support for the phone. They had me a plugin within a day and it was mostly working but not quite. I email logs and so forth back to them and within a couple of days had a working plugin. Amazing! I got a follow up email today which included a link to the new official plugin. All this for $10. I could not be happier.

Hi,

thank you for the note about Snow Leopard. Some of the more than 250 plugins do cause troubles with the new operating system and we rewrite them piece for piece. As soon as they are updated, they appear automatically in the system utility "iSync plugins".

If your plugin does not work - then please contact our support at sync@novamedia.de for the updated plugin and it will work again. Just like that :-)

Thanks again,

Doesn't work on Snow Leopard like the site says. When you check which phones are supported, it lists Snow Leopard capability, but iSync opens with a warning that the plugin isn't compatible and quits.

I would like to put in some serious praise for Nova Media (makes of the iSync Plugin), their expertise and amazing customer service. I tried all free plugins I could find to get an AT&T Motorola V3XX to work with iSync. After a few wasted hours I finally broke down and bought their plug-in having read review http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/89518&mode=feedback . The funny thing was that I was too tired to notice their plugin actually doesn't support V3XX... duhh.

Anyhow, I contacted Nova Media and they were super helpful although they didn't have to be. They sent me a small phone inspector app which found that the phone was identifying itself as RAZRV3XXR_J which is not what iSync expects. Since they didn't have a version of 10.4.9 OSX he just modified an existing plugin to update iSync with the new identifier. Voila, everything worked. By everything I mean phone numbers as I didn't bother with calendar stuff. With such competence, not to mention willingness to help, I'd buy from this company anytime!

Plugins work depending on the model. Support is quite helpful.

But beware: The licensing model is inacceptable for me. Since the plugin for my mobile phone didn't work as expected, I uninstalled it and tried the original isync plugin by the manufacturer. I switched my mac, that used one too...
Each install / activation is using one license (of 3). So if you remove a license for testing reasons, or switch your computer, or reinstall the system: each activation uses up a license. For me a complete show-stopper. Anyway: Just be careful when lightheartedly activating & removing a license, you might end up with no licenses... Be warned.

Hi,

thanks for the comment. If you active the same cell phone on the same Mac, no extra-license is used.

So if you change your cell phone or your Mac every 2 years, you can use the iSync plugins for up to 6 years - for just 11.00 US-$ (and that includes the change of the Mac or the cell phone - twice!).

We think that is a very good bargain!

Kind regards,

Jan Fuellemann
