Poor converter in any aspect. Bad quality, bad interface (why a Windows-a-like ui?), didn't accept M2ts files, bad control/options. Nope... Handbrake is also free and ahead of this.

The first (and last) time I tried to convert a video, it immediately asked me for my password so that it could download some additional software. Then it would not let me cancel that, and just gave me the SBOD. I even had a difficult time force quitting it, but finally managed to do it. MacOs X.6.5 MBP

No matroska conversion function (that works), no test, no sale. (sorry) The only video conversion still needed for the Mac must convert FROM matroska (including softsubs to hardsub support and multiple sound streams) consistently, and allow quantizer settings (none do, yet... most fail miserably and output looks look terrible as well), and a matroska recoder would be a nice thing to see, as well.

The interface is lacking in every aspect. Always opening other windows to do some changes. Not user friendly at all. Results are mediocre to really bad. On top of this it is very very slow to encode. It even bypass multicore support. This as marked as free but it isn't. You have to register and it cost a whopping $49 !! To be honest this is a ripoff !! !! In short : Avoid at all costs. Even when this was given free it would be a bad video converter.

Hmmmmm, I liked the previous version of Prism, and I was looking forward to more progress. But I could not get it to work on 3 different videos, it always gave an error but didn't shutdown. I hope I'm doing something wrong here, but if not I hope it's just a small bug that can be fixed.

Nice but too little options to play with. The interface is a mess but does the job quite nicely. Converting to gp3 didn't work and H264 movies are not saved in a correct way. There is definitely something wrong with the header. It has pottentional but needs a major overhaul.

An easy and useful tool to convert video formats. Like many others I struggled to view my Sony Handycam's .MPG file format on my intel based iMac. After finding out that Apple offered an add-on to Quicktime player costing $20 or £15 that alows you to view the Sony Handycam's MPEG-2 files, I searched the internet for free or shareware applications. Prism appears to do the job efficiently. Although it appears to struggle when it comes to converting mutiple files lEding to a stall and force-quit. Nevertheless, I recommend it to you as useful port of call, sort of to speak.

Excellent! I needed to convert a series of fairly-odd .wmv files from a client's HD camcorder that even my trusty ffmpegX couldn't work with. This little app chewed right through them, and had a very usable interface to boot! It remains to be seen if this app has what it takes to compete with tools like ffmpegX, but I'm happy to add it to my bag o' tricks.

Had to convert a WMV video and both Quicktime and FFmpeg failed. I tried this little app and it worked perfectly. Simple, straightforward and free.
