Stay away from this service. It is full of bugs and glitches. When you try to retrieve your files online, it moves so slowly, you simply give up. Or it returns an error.

A waste of money, even if it is pretty cheap.

It's not "commercial pep talk". I spent the last 20 years in the computing and software business and I'm telling you your data is safe...in fact, safer with Memopal than most because of the way they encrypt it (please go up there and read how it's done). The short version is it's stored in bits and pieces on multiple servers so any piece of it by itself is useless.

Do you believe in online banking? I trust mine to Bank of America but if I thought like you did I would believe that their employees could run off with my money...not going to happen. You're missing a good online backup service which is a big part of any good backup plan.

I think I will never put my data on the internet this way. Who can guarantee that no one will make abuse of the data?

You must be living in some kind of technological abyss! There are about ten good online backup companies and Memopal is one of the best. You might try educating yourself as to how these companies encrypt and protect your data...it's safer than sitting on your own hard drive in your own home!

To LARRMTJ

With this kind of commercial peptalk you don't convince me. They can encrypt my data, but before the encrypting and after decrypting (when I want my data back as I sent 'em) somebody can make abuse of my data. Only if I encrypted everything it will be more difficult to abuse my data.
