Copititolo is a menu bar item which displays and copies the title of your browser's front window to the clipboard, and provides access to bookmarks from the menu bar.

Not all browsers are supported. The currently supported browsers are : Safari, OmniWeb and Camino. Please make sure you are running the most current version of each browse

Use the system preference pane to specify which browsers you would like to appear in the menu.

Put the application into your login items if you want it to launch automatically whenever you log in. Go to System Preferences "Accounts"

  • Accompanying the Copititolo menu bar application is a service application entitled "GetTitleService." This service application will obtain the title of any URL which has a title (i.e. the URL must reference an HTMl page) and place it on the clipboard. Services are available in the "Services" submenu of the application menu of the current application.

Uh, I usually simply click on the URL field to highlight the URL, then drag n drop the URL to whatever document I'm working on, which is Mail nine times out of ten. This seems to add nothing to the game.

It is hard to imagine a scenario where someone would need this very often, let alone pay for it. If one does need this ability often, the basic functionality can be accomplished with a single line of Applescript:

tell application "Safari" to set the clipboard to the name of the first window whose name is not ""

Still, if you find yourself constantly needing to send the name of one of your browser windows to the clipboard, you might find this app useful.
