Having problems. Mac Pro 2,1 w/10.7.5. Trying to clean ghost voice recordings from SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip. When a voice recording is made, I transfer the file manually to iTunes and then delete the original from the Clip Zip by drag & drop to Trash and then Empty Trash. This always leaves a hidden ghost file in the "Recordings" folder of the Clip Zip which aren't shown in OS X even if invisible files are shown. If I use the "Delete a Recording" of the Clip Zip software it says "Recording Deleted" but nothing changes, and I have every single voice recording as an invisible ghost file that I can't delete at all. Your program does nothing except eject the Clip Zip immediately, and I've still got all the ghost files. They only way I know to delete them is to reformat the entire device, which losses me all my settings preferences.
I should mention that I've tried Hidden Cleaner 2.1 in both normal mode (64-bit) and using Get Info and checking the box "Open in 32-bit mode". Nothing changes in either mode.
The file names are of format: VRmmddyy### and are originally .wav files, but these ghost files have no content, and can't be played, or even transferred because they're invisible to the Mac, and the Sansa software sees them, but can't delete them.

Probable solution without terminal, hope it helps someone:
- "Show hidden files" in Finder (or some other launcher/app)
(not sure why the files are hidden without a dot in front)
– check, select
– delete, probably with admin password required

Fantastic utility! We produced a bunch of Mac/Win USB sticks for an event and this worked perfectly to clean off all the hidden Mac files. Kudos to the developer.

Hi, thanks for a great utility.

Suggestion: Preferencepane to enable "leave icons intact" etc. on drives..

Nearly perfect.
A little progress bar would be nice, but I guess a reasonable estimate would consume too much bandwidth (think USB mp3 players)

Please fix either the system requirement or platform so that it is correct. You cannot have 10.6 on PPC.

Ok, but it still leaves a directory ".Trashes" on the drive.
And the script (main.scpt) is not editable.

Well, .Trashes is empty and only one top-level folder, so not a large issue compared to the multitude of little helpers. Same with .Spotlight, btw.

Oh, and you're right about the non-open source script.
Not sure how that amounts to meagre 3 stars, still.
