I don't have a magic mouse. but I plan to buy one. So I updated my keyboard with this update. Why did this need a restart, I don't know, but it worked flawlessly. Installing a firmware update via Bluetooth was interesting though :)

I have a new iMac with a keyboard that shows 100% battery after 3 weeks of use and states that 'No keyboard found' when I click setup Bluetooth keyboard. System Profiler shows that I indeed don't have the update (68 instead of 69), but when I try to run the installer it rejects it saying Bluetooth device can't be found. The Keyboard System Preferences just keeps searching away with a spinning daisy. System Profiler: AppleWirelessKeyboard: Name: AppleWirelessKeyboard Address: 60-fb-42-07-bb-01 Type: Keyboard Firmware Version: 68 Services: Apple Wireless Keyboard Paired: Yes Favorite: No Connected: Yes Manufacturer: Apple ($3, $31c)

Check Apple Support. I think it mentions the 2009 version wireless keyboards do not need this firmware update. It is for the 2007 that uses 3 batteries.
