"May 5th 2010 - Widgets removed due to copyright infringement

Dear friends, today Universal Uclick, owner of the rights for most of the comics available in my widgets, asked me to remove them due to the violation of copyright, trademark and other legal rights.

I decided to comply with their request.

These have been two great years for me, with the widgets featured in blogs, websites and on Apple site, an incredible success: thanks everybody for your contribution to the widget popularity!"

OMG, I love this! Thanks for keeping this up to date. One teeny weeny request: Can we have a pref setting to specify the default comic that the widget launches with?

Holy flurking schnidt, it's back with all the comics working again!

From developer website:
"Version 1.6 (April 2010) - ALL comics are back, lots of NEW characters included, MORE than 150 strips supported!

Dilbert, Calvin & Hobbes, Garfield, B.C., Momma and dozens more are again available in freeComics, thanks to a huge redesign of the widget. The list of comics has been updated to include all the latest release: moreover, several all-time classics are now in full color."

Of course, comics will probably gradually stop working again as websites change URLs or otherwise get hostile to its webscraping, but hey, I'll take what I can get ;-)

This is a terrific widget. Does exactly what it claims... and finally puts Calvin & Hobbes click away!

Love the widget! But stopped updating, and doesn't respond to button clicks. Frozen in time!

Really love this widget. However the last couple days it's been stuck on one comic (the very Dilbert strip that is illustrated).

I can't get it to go to any other strip... anyone else experiencing this problem?
