"Finally! Suffered 2 hours with preview"
Extremely Fast and Simple. Preview for this is extremely complicated. I couldn't figure it out. Drag and drop on top created more and more files instead of merging them. I had a very important pdf to send and preview was driving me crazy...thankfully I found this program..Thanks to the developer!
No hassle, no fuss, drag all your files, order them hit the button combine and you are done!
Luckily it was still available on cnet @ http://download.cnet.com/iCombiner/3000-2094_4-11383118.html

I have to concur with others and lament the loss of this program. I also did a search to find it on another site, and I'm glad I did. I've tried several programs of this type, but this is the cleanest and easiest of the bunch. I hope the developer can make a comeback.

Well, I don't know why this was discontinued, but it is a great app and it works very well under Lion.

So: you need to combine some pictures into a PDF, and they all have a different size and you don't want them to have all the white paper background you get when combining into a PDF using Preview??? – this is the app. Very nice feature is the combining from context menu, directly in the Finder. A pity this app isn't available here anymore, but you can still find it on CNET.

Any word from the developer? Is there a new, even better product? Any plans to make the app open source?

Have just used to combine both PDFs and graphics files to merge into one PDF. Works fine, in Lion too. Seems more stable and faster than Combine PDFs when dealing with graphics files.
Worth having it: simple to use, fast, free.

Simple, but effective. No problems merging files, interface is easy to use and a few options to change without being overwhelming. Can't beat the price. The contextual option is a very nice plus too.

PDF Lab does the same for free and even more since it allows to reorganize or delete pages in PDF files with multiple pages. And also to rotate pages.

PDFLab is very good, but it does not work with Snow Leopard.

Great little app but I can't work out why it takes so long for the app to launch. Bounces at least 3 times in the dock before the app window appears - and that's on dual RAID SSD boot drive on a fresh Snow Leopard 10.6.5 install.
