Flickr client, search and browse photo streams.

Overview

Photonic is the first full Flickr client for Mac OS X. You can search and browse photo streams, from your sets and groups, marvel at Flickr's daily Explore selections, explore your contacts' photo streams and favorites and more! When you find images you like, you can flag them as favorites directly within Photonic. After browsing photos of others, you can also name, tag, describe and upload pictures of your own to Flickr, adding them to sets and groups in the process.

What's new in Photonic

Version 1.0.1: Private photos now display properly in all streams.

Photonic really enhanced my enjoyment of my Flickr account. It's very intuitive and easy to use. That's good because there is no help or any documentation that I could find. There are some gotchas, for instance, you cannot create & upload photos as a set within the program. We cannot currently create sets in Photonic. One of the developers stated that "this is so far the single most common feature request by a wide margin, and we're looking into providing this ability in a future release." That would be great! The other issue I found was that I only got a small, incomplete, subset of mostly recent photos when I searched for specific tags. All in all, it looks like a good start.
