Take automatic screenshots.

Overview

Click was developed to help you make screenshots. Although standard shortcuts prevent you from making screenshots while watching a DVD movie, this is not a problem with Click (use VLC, not Apple's DVD Player, if checkerboard pattern seen while playing DVD). You can take a screenshot manually by pressing Option-Command keys and also select automatic operation where a screenshot is taken periodically (1 second - 10 minutes). You can select whether or not you want to hear a shutter click when screenshots are taken. Control Panel's location and settings (except for Automatic Screenshot checkbox checked setting) are saved between sessions.

What's new in Click

Version 2.8.0:

Note: Now requires OS X 10.7 or later.

  • Remembers the status of the Automatic Screenshot checkbox between sessions..

If you've ever needed a screenshot of a DVD and couldn't get anything but a blank black screen, this is the tool for you. Works great.

Well, it's FREE for 20 minutes per launch or you can donate or pay twenty bucks to use it 24/7.

OK, thanks Negritude. Not sure how i ended up with the Pro version.

Re-downloaded Click and gave it another try. It seems that by default screen shots are sent to the documents folder which is already is Hodge podge collection of various files. I would like to have my screenshots go to for example, "Click screenshots" folder located on my desktop. Perhaps the paid for version has more features to my liking.

It's a very simple app—could use some fleshing out. For instance, it does not provide a way to select the actual image, which means if you are taking a screen capture of a frame of video, you have to edit it later to make use of it.
