Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I'll never understand Apple's choice to waste screen real estate with this bit of useless eye candy. It serves no practical use in spatial relations. Atleast Dock magnification is useful - to some. And the Genie effect could be useful, sort of.
The Dock 'shelf' is useful, because?
Anyway, now to find our white Menubar!
The app doesn't say that it restores the functionality of Tiger's Dock, it simply restores the "appearance" of Tiger's Dock.
This app does everything it claims to do, and it does it with a simple 2-button interface.
It is not "restoring" Tiger's dock - it is only changing the look of Leopard's dock to be the same as if placed on the side, except the bottom.
It doesn't have any Tiger's dock functions, like expanding folders and their hierarchical navigation.
How many more apps do we need to accomplish a simple Terminal command?
2D Dock
defaults write com.apple.Dock no-glass -boolean YES
killall Dock
3D Dock
defaults write com.apple.Dock no-glass -boolean NO
killall Dock
;)
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
