So, why would anyone want to use this I ask you say - well today it saved my skin! A recent UPS failure saw a few of my servers shut down hard and then reboot. On trying to remote desktop (Apple Remote Desktop) in to one of them we noticed the display resolution was all messed up and the display was just un-viewable. So rather than have to take the server down and reboot with a display attached we used this utility. We simply copied the utility to the root level and ssh-ed to the server and executed the command. We were immediately able to used Apple Remote Desktop once more - no downtime, no mess, no fuss. Keep a copy on your administration machine - better still install it on all your servers.
