Nice concept however it won't even show species that the widget itself suggests, based on what is typed in...i.e. As I typed in scorpion and reached the letter "o", a drop down menu appeared showing a list of items. From this list I randomly picked "Scorpio africanus" and hit "search"....the map side whirled around, refreshed, and ...ouila!...nothing showed...Apparently the species is extinct.

It's nice but when I tested it out using Aphonopelma (just by itself, then with a species as well) not much shows up, when in fact these spiders are found throughout the South and West of the US and North of Mexico. Like everywhere, throughout the Sonoran Desert and beyond. I gave it a value of 2 simply because the only thing I am really interested in using it for doesn't work.

This is a nice little widget. Not very practical, but cool.
