Painting tool for cartoon-like 3D scenes.

Overview

Plopp is a creative painting tool for creating cartoon-like 3D scenes without the effort that comes with professional 3D modelling programs. Plopp will help you to build 3D objects very easily! Just paint them in 2D and Plopp will transform them into 3D! The 3D objects can then be arranged in a true 3D scene, where you can also paint different backgrounds and adjust the lighting.

The scenes can be printed, set as the desktop wallpaper, or sent as an ecard. In the Online Gallery you find many great pictures that have been painted with Plopp.

I don't feel qualified to give this a rating. I did find it unbelievably slow, and I was particularly annoyed by the endless scrolling list of credits that kept going after I told it to quit. I finally had to force quit the program just to move on. It seems like a worthwhile program to develop; I would prefer it provide more grown-up content.

This is obviously designed for children; if you're "all grown up", it will insult your intelligence, so don't waste your time with it. It's very limited in what it can do, and the little cartoon character that tells you what each function can do is too annoyingly "cutsypoo"....but, then, for better or for worse, I'm not a child; a little kid would probably find it appealing. And, yeah, you can't just quit this app, it won't let you before all the credits scroll, so you have to force quit....it's a bit aggravating.
