Freespace 2 Launcher is a program that will allow users to abandon the old way of changing the FS2_Open application command line manually by editing the command line file with the text editor. Instead, it will offer them a GUI with all the currently available options for the current version of FS2_Open. The latest versions of FS2_Open Launcher for OS X feature dynamic menus. That means that they somehow communicate with the FS2_Open application, and obtain a list of all the available command line commands for the application. That way, the menus of the Launcher will automatically change to reflect the changes made in the latest versions of FS2_Open. The newest version adds support for standalone mods and fixes a great number of bugs present in the previews version.
