TNTmap... View maps, images, and other geodata as layers in Google Maps, Google Earth, TNTmap Open, or TNTmap Viewer from any site offering them via a Web Map Service (WMS). Web sites offering their geodata via a WMS are publishing their layers in compliance with ISO standard 19128 (see Open Geospatial Consortium). TNTmap is a set of interconnected widgets designed to locate, organize, and view WMS geodata. TNTmap is also available as a Web application for use in Safari, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, and Internet Explorer.
Control Panel: A small control panel taking up minimal space on your dashboard. Use its icons to open the following components.
- Google Maps: The Google Maps icon on the Control Panel widget launches Google Maps as a widget. Use the Google Maps icon in TNTmap Builder to launch the Google Maps widget with layers you have selected and added from WMSs. This widget provides on/off control of all image and map layers. A zoom box, feature measurement, and information tools are added.
- Google Earth: The Google Earth icon on the Control Panel widget launches your installation of Google Earth. Use the Google Earth icon in TNTmap Builder to launch Google Earth with layers you have selected from WMSs as Temporary Places.
- TNTmap Open: The TNTmap Open icon on the Control Panel widget launches the TNTmap Open widget. Use the TNTmap Open icon in TNTmap Builder to launch the TNTmap Open widget with layers you have selected and added from WMSs. TNTmap Open supports address searching, legends for each layer, scale input and coordinate readout, and length measurement. This viewer is built using the OpenLayers components available from OSGeo to permit its modification by anyone.
- TNTmap Viewer: The TNTmap Viewer icon on the Control Panel widget launches the TNTmap Viewer widget. Use the TNTmap Viewer icon in TNTmap Builder to launch the TNTmap Viewer widget with layers you have selected and added from WMSs. Similar to the TNTmap Open viewer noted above but does not use OSGeo components and provides advanced features, such as circumference and area measurement.
