I've been using this for months and really like it. Document Wallet gets three key things right: (1) It integrates with TWAIN scanners for easy input; (2) Every document is saved as a PDF file, there's no lock-in or database compatibility issues; (3) It focuses on domain specific metadata to make your information easier to use. I love Eagle Filer for general purpose filing, but Document Wallet is helping me clean out my over stuffed filing cabinets.

It requires a lot of discipline and Apple's Spotlight minimizes the need of this sort of apps, but you'll never knows. I think I give it a try.

This seems like a great program. I just don't know if I'm disciplined enough to actually use it on all my receipts. Or even on the important ones......

I need an organized file cabinet. My "computer cabinet" is no better organized than my paper one. This looks good!

Seems really limited compared to others I've used, and little or no info online to see how it stacks up vs. DevonThink, Yojimbo, Soho Notes, etc.

Yet another organiser/filer/notekeeper for OSX? And judging by the number that have been for sale here, I guess sales have been a little slow, due to the high competition. They all seem to have some nice points, but I've yet to see the real killer version which also doesn't have any annoyances.

I take this has an OCR tool so you can scan all your paper trails into a virtual filling cabinet. If I would ever get around to doing that is another matter. Looks OK for those anally retentive enough, just not for me. Devonthink Pro Office - while more expensive seems a far better choice as it has plenty of leg-room to grow with your needs - this will just stunt you.

In all likelihood, DocumentWallet will work fine under Leopard. If an update is required, it will be free to all users including those that purchase through this promo. In addition, if you purchase through this promo, you are eligible to purchase ReceiptWallet at a 50% discount. We don't differentiate users based on where they purchased the software.

may not work in leopard according to the FAQs, but a free update it planned. Anyone know if we'll be covered when purchased via this promotion? Some promos I've bought didn't included the updates.

Hmmm...I'll have to demo this. I wish the screenshot was bigger and there was more to the description of the software. There seems to be so many document organizers out there now, it would be nice to see in the description what makes this one unique and stand out above the competition.

The screenshots look pretty solid. I'll definitely try the demo. I am in desperate need of organization at every level of my daily life. I've tried demos for several personal info managers, but nothing's really stuck with me. Maybe this is the level of simplicity I need!

DocumentWallet has transformed how I file. No more thinking about which file to chose when filing paper. Now I just drop the document into my ScanSnap, describe the document and I am done. I tried a number of other document managers and DocumentWallet was my clear winner. On top of everything, the developer has been very responsive to questions and suggestions.

I have Canon MP160 and Fujitsu ScanSnap connected to my iMac G5. DocumentWallet sees only Canon but I want to use ScanSnap as default scanner. How to do it?

You're right-- it runs fine under Rosetta. The Samsung TWAIN drivers are not, apparently, universal binary. Naturally, I should have read your FAQ before posting! That being said, this is an excellent app. I just scanned a half dozen small documents in few minutes. Perfectly stable, no crashes or hangups. DocumentWallet appears to be just as powerful as its competitors at a fraction of the price. Nice app!

It's likely that the scanner doesn't have TWAIN drivers or the drivers are not universal binary, in which case you have to run the application under
