Considering the weird jabber implementation in Apple Server 3, ejabberd is a true wealth. And its well documented contrary to Apple's software(s). The only things missing are native SSL support and an autostart feature. I did achieve this by an Applescript as a login item: do shell script "/Applications/ejabberd-13.12/bin/ejabberdctl start"
