I just installed a Samsung Super-WriteMaster w/ LightScribe drive in my Mac Pro, followed by installing LightScribe System Software (LSS) 1.18.23.1 from the LightScribe site. The installer reported a successful installation on Mac OS X 10.6.7.

Next I attempted to install LightScribe Simple Labeler (aka LightScribeApplications 1.18.15.1), which tells me "LightScribe Applications can't be installed on this disk. This package requires the LightScribe System Software Package." It's not clear at this point whether this problem is with the Applications installer or the original LSS installation.

I'm giving LightScribe System Software a 1-star rating because the LightScribe site provides no direct technical support, just a knowledge base (FAQs), a user discussion forum, and links to hardware sites.

This page is listed as an official Lightscribe page, but the developer link is pointing at the LaCie web site. The official Lightscribe download page is actually here:

I just used "Add/Update Listing" (in the footer of all pages) to submit corrections to this listing: correct product name, link to LightScripe site instead of LaCie, correct a typo in the description.
