FlickrExport for Aperture4.1.2

30 July 2014

Export photos and metadata from Aperture directly to Flickr.com.

Overview

FlickrExport is a plugin for Aperture that provides advanced photo uploading to your account on Flickr. Start by simply selecting the photos you want to upload and using Aperture's "Export" command, and then use FlickExport's advanced options to customize the data included with your photos.

Feature:
  • Upload any number of photos and movies directly from Aperture
  • Automatically assign Aperture metadata, such as titles, descriptions, tags, and locations, to the uploaded photos, or input your own custom info
  • Add the uploaded photos to any number of Flickr albums or groups, or to a newly created album
  • Keep track of preset locations to assign to photos, or apply data from a GPS track file to your photos
  • Easily switch between multiple Flickr accounts for uploading

What's new in FlickrExport for Aperture

Version 4.1.2:
  • Fixed a problem where FlickrExport's alert for a new version would appear behind the export window, preventing any mouse clicks from being registered
  • Improved display of correct photo title in error window for some types of upload errors

This is a great application. Have been using it since it was first launched. Good support and frequent updates. If possible, the only thing that would be a great addition to this excellent program/plug-in is the ability of adding a photo to more than one group. Highly recommended.

When do you need to export directly to Flicker from Aperture? What's the gain? Couldn't I just save to a folder that is autosynced with my Flicker account? After all, syncing that way would work also without Aperture.

!! No longer seems to work under 10.5.8 even though MU and the dev website say it does. I have raised a ticket on his website feedback.

I own version 2. When I try to use version 3 it tells me I can't because my serial isn't valid any more. While I realize that, why can't I try it out like everyone else?
