SuperSFV is a simple file verification program for Mac OS X. It has an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, somewhat influenced by Transmission's, and is released under the GNU GPL v2. Although I admit the source may be a bit sloppy, it is included in the download.

SuperSFV tries to add on to the SFV format by allowing the MD5 and SHA-1 algorithms to be used for verification as well as the standard CRC32. The format is still shallow, however.

  • Updated the interface to scroll down to the last entry as per Lucky's request
  • Cleaned up the toolbar code and nib a little bit

It looks as though the dev for SuperSFV has no intrest in updating this app. In fact, I can't even find an actual website for it. iSFV works under Lion. Simple, open source and free. http://sourceforge.net/projects/isfv/

Unfortunately the app crashes under MacOS X 10.7 (Lion).

Works well, although a bit slow. The buttons could also use labels. This isn't my app of choice due to the lack of speed issue, but it works just fine.

Great application, but is only capable of CRC32, MD5 and SHA1 which was proven as insecure a couple of month ago. Would be great if the developer can add SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 support (an open source C implementation, which works on Mac OS X can be found here: http://freshmeat.net/projects/sha2/ )

An option to rename 'bad' files would be great.
Sort by status colum is not working.

Thx the developer, Keep on the good working

it is easiest to use, excellent user interface, smoothly runs on Mac OS X (notice it's cross-platform, both PPC/Intel). Compared with others, SuperSFv is the BEST !!!

Trust me, u need the only one to checksum your files that's SuperSFV.

This is a great little app.
It does what it promises. I really like the GUI -> very fast and a clear interface.
I never used SFV programs before, but this App will make it even easier for too use the SFV System in the Future.
