Synchronize your Sticky Notes via iDisk storage.

Overview

dotNotes... Synchronize your Sticky Notes via iDisk Storage.

dotNotes is very much like Apple's Stickies application, but it has a strong feature which enables you to synchronize your notes over several machines using your iDisk storage (in order to use iDisk, you must be a .Mac member). With this new version, you can create a Public notes to share with your family/friends.

And, of course, you can use dotNotes locally on a single machine just like Stickies, too.

What's new in dotNotes

Version 1.2.2 is a maintenance release with following fixes:
  • Fixed the issue that note windows could be resized larger than screen.
  • Fixed the issue that note windows could be dragged out of screen bounds

So, this app basically changes the location of the StickiesDatabase file from the Library folder to the iDisk. That can be done with a symlink, too. Guess a gui app makes it easier for average users.

Actually, it can't be done with a symlink. Stickies deletes and recreates the StickiesDatabase every time it updates the contents, and for whatever reason it doesn't follow symlinks. Instead, it deletes the symlink and writes a new copy of the StickiesDatabase in its place.
